Exploding Airbags blamed for Toyota’s 23 million vehicles total global recall

Dubbed “Total recall” by the automobile industry is Toyota’s announcement on Wednesday, which reminds me of the first time that word was used in combination, and the year was 1990 in an Arnold Schwarzenegger film, Directed by Paul verhoeven starring Rachel Ticotin, Sharon Stone, Ronny Cox and Michael Ironside.

The recent announcement on Wednesday of an additional 5.8 million vehicles recall by Toyota due to what the industry describes as exploding airbags problem bring the total recall of vehicles by the Japanese Automaker to just over 23 million.

Takata a leading airbag supplier to the automobile industry made airbags supplied to companies like Volkswagen, Honda and General Motors which were also affected by the recall but the most hit of them was Toyota with models like Corolla, Etios and Yaris hugely affected globally.
