Q: How was your act started?
Began as a trio with 2 buddies in the 80s, then a duo with a female country-style singer, finally just moi for the past 3 years

I sing my own songs with comedic (I hope) comments thrown in…

Q: Have you ever been in a band?
Yes – in the 70s

Q: Where are all act members from?
I hail from Tulse Hill, south London

Q: Do you do everything as an act?
It’s just me!

Q: What are your ambitions when you first started?
Commercial success for my songs

Q: Could you explain your music to someone that haven’t heard you?
Regular pop songs with eclectic flavours, eg folk, country, beatle-esque, rocker!

Anerley, Crystal Palace

Maidenbower Community hall, Crawley, W. Sussex

Q: Who writes your songs?
I do

I do both

Commercial pop

Q: Why did you pick that particular style?
It came naturally

Life, love, loss, relationships

I write my own material

My nan’s piano

Best: A friend’s wedding Worst: backing a friend at his Elvis event at his 50th birthday party!

Commercial success

Q: What are your sources of inspiration?
The human condition, poetic licence, sadness, the intoxication of falling in love

Q: What’s the first step when making a new song?
Feeling inspired

Q: How do you feel about the downloading of music instead of buying albums?
Okay, but I prefer to hold it in my hand

Q: What would be your dreams for the act?
Commercial recognition that I, and my songs, are as excellent as I think I am / they are!

Blues, rock, indie

Life and love

Asteroid collision and/or alien invasion

Electrical power failure

I consider them my means to success
