Liverpool failed to close the gap on league leader Chelsea as klopp’s boys was only able to manage a draw in Anfield.
It was a clash of the titan, prior to this match Chelsea had lost only one match in all competitions while Liverpool had lost three of theIreland last three.
The match was a perfect opportunity for Chelsea to increase the gap between the top four, it was also an opportunity for Liverpool to close the gap on the league leaders.
The match started with Liverpool pressing high field but Chelsea kept their cool until David luiz caught mignolet with a stunning free kick.
Willian had moved back like he was going to take it but Luiz move like lighting and fired home the ball beating Liverpool goalie who was not concerntrating on theball.
Liverpool got back in the game in the 57th minute after moving the ball around nicely before a curling ball was send into the far left miller did well to put it back in play with his head. The ball hit moses on the head but he couldn’t put it out of reach Wijnaldun who headed down to beat Curtois.
Chelsea would have won only if Costa had converted a spot kick he had won after Matip brought him down in the 18 yard box. Costa had run into the box with the ball after shielding Lovren to get the ball but the resulting penalty was brilliantly save by Mignolet who dive left of the striker.
With Arsenal losing at home and Tottenham drawing away at Sunderland chelsea’s gap at the top has increased to nine points.
