I’ll Remember You – Trevor Gear @trevorgear

I’ll Remember You

The day now nears its end

And I reflect on what has been

You came to me this morning

And you’re all I’ve really seen

For just a day the world has been so beautifully new

And now as evening comes there’s nothing else to do

But to remember you, but to remember you, I’ll remember you

We walked through fields of flowers

The sun was gleaming in the sky

We sheltered from the shower

That so uncaringly came by

For just a day the world consisted only of we two

And now as evening comes there’s nothing else to do

But to remember you, but to remember you, I’ll remember you

Take me again to the dawn of the day

You were mine then but I let you slip away

Treasure it seems refuses the touch

Just like me dreams you’re gone and I miss you so much

The day now nears its end

And I reflect on what has been

You came to me this morning

And you’re all I’ve really seen

For just a day the world has been so beautifully true

And now as evening comes there’s nothing else to do

But to remember you, but to remember you, I’ll remember you
