Lieing about Santa to kids? That’s ok!

I got nearly caught up in a conversation at work recently but thanks quick thinking careful consideration and of course my unspoken resolve to mind my own business, that pitfall was averted.

However it got me thinking of how fragile and dangerous it is has become to have an honest opinion about something or most things if I were to be completely honest.

Someone read out an article in the news concerning a school teacher in America. This school teacher apparently told a group of primary school pupils under her the truth about Santa.

She told her pupils that Santa isn’t real. Now even by my standards that was a great error of judgement and as much as I would like to honest with kids I would never in a million years make that mistake.

One of the kids reported this to the parents and the teacher in question had to write an apology letter for telling the truth. What you have done or… not do differently.?
