The German vice Chancellor Angela Merkel has pledged 9 million Euros to the West African Country of Chad to help combat the flow of migration as the Country’s President Idriss Déby makes a visit to Germany.

This is the first time for a Chad President to ever visit Germany. Amongst other things the Germany Chancellor mentioned issues that were adversely affecting the Country like Boko Haram and that the country was surrounded by troubled regions like Niger, Sudan and Northern Nigeria.

The President of Chad in return urged it’s citizens to stay at home and avoid dangerous and most times fatal journeys across the mediterranean and also help bolster the image of their beloved country
