Vodafone the telecom operator has been fined £4.6 million by the telecom regulator Ofcom. Ofcom is the British Telecom Regulator and has found Vodafone the telecom operator the record fine said to be the largest to be levied on a telecom operator in Britain.

The regulator described the failings as “serious and unacceptable. Vodafone was found to have both mislead customers for charging them for services and not providing these services and for the way it then handled customers complaints. Vodafone pledged it’s determination to put things right blaming it’s transfer of billing platforms for the failings.
