The interim inquiry into the tram crash in Croydon London last week reveals the driver was driver was travelling at 3 times the legal limit for the approach where it crashed.

 

51 passengers were taken to hospital and 7 were reported dead in the crash that happened last Wednesday in Croydon London.

 

The driver of the tram was arrested on charges of manslaugter by the Police and released later on bail to appear in court pending the result of the investigations into the crash.

 

At 43 miles at hour the tram was travelling at 3 times the speed required to navigate the bend were the crash happened the inquiry revealed today. The required speed was said to be 12 miles.
